Holiday Luncheon: Best Learning Ideas of 2015

Join us for our annual holiday luncheon and "Best Learning Ideas of 2015" We'll be sharing membership best practices and learning ideas to kick off Employee Learning Week 2015 (December 7-11) and have the following employee learning  "spotlight" presentations:

Ascension Information Services Learning Portal: The 70% Advantage Tool, #10 in the Learning100!

Join Angela Chesmore, Learning and Organization Development Consultant at Ascension Information Services, as she shares details of AIS placing #10 the 2015 annual Enterprise Learning100! Awards. AIS provides Ascension, the nation’s largest non-profit healthcare system, and its subsidiaries with IT infrastructure and software application services in support of the Ascension organization’s mission to deliver personalized, compassionate healthcare more efficiently.

AIS needed to be creative in how they could work and learn together. Their 2015 Learning!100 award is based on their 70% Advantage tool, a learning portal designed to support leaders in championing associate growth and development. The social learning tool connects caregivers across their wide geography with access to additional learning and development resources, and provides opportunities for collaboration and inspired innovation that otherwise would not be possible.

This is the fourth consecutive year AIS has earned the Learning!100 Award.

Saint Louis University "Learning Challenges": How to leverage relationships and competition to foster a learning culture

Fostering a culture of learning among employees is a challenge; even for a University! Saint Louis University has worked to make learning at work easier for employees. The Learning & Development department has looked to competition and relationships to inspire how they engage employees to learn. Katie Hoff, the team's Organizational Effectiveness Specialist, will share about their "learning challenge" strategy that engages employees in a learning competition with their colleagues.

Katie will share:

  • How the goals, content, and structure were decided for each challenge
  • The marketing and communication strategy used before and during each challenge
  • The assessment strategy used to measure impact; and,
  • The lessons learned to inform future successes

Be sure to bring your own Best Learning Ideas from 2015 to share. To help us celebrate - we'll also have a few fun learning activities planned and be giving away attendance prizes throughout the meeting.
